Overview

Confirmed An official Ultimate Edition screenshot shows Jason and Lucia on the deck of the Shitzu Squalo with dolphins swimming nearby, in Rockstar’s own description.

On screen One dolphin surfaces a few feet from the stern, head and dorsal fin out of the water, while a second glides below the surface behind the boat. Jason stands on deck with a drink, Lucia sits on the swim platform, and scuba tanks and a fishing rod are on board.

Key facts

Confirmed Seen: one Ultimate Edition still of the Shitzu Squalo.
On screen Number: two dolphins in the frame.
Confirmed The boat: Rockstar pitches the Squalo for casting in Gambit Bay and reeling in catches of all sorts, and docks it at Washington Beach.
Our read Elsewhere: we have not spotted dolphins in the trailers or on our Extended Look frames.

The real animal

Our read With their gray backs and short beaks, the dolphins look like bottlenose dolphins.

Reported NOAA Fisheries says feeding or trying to feed wild dolphins is prohibited under the Marine Mammal Protection Act, with fines of up to $100,000 and up to a year in jail, and asks people to watch them from at least 50 yards (150 feet) away.

Our read The dolphin in the still is well inside that distance, though it is the dolphin that has come to the boat.
