Overview
On screen Seaplanes turn up in three of Rockstar’s official images, all of them on the water. The first Leonida Keys still shows a white and yellow floatplane flying low over the islands, a 2026 Grassrivers screenshot has a blue and white one moored at a settlement on stilts, and one of Jason Duval’s screenshots puts him beside a silver seaplane at a marina.
Key facts
- On screen Keys: a floatplane over the islands, a bridge full of traffic and speedboat wakes below.
- On screen Grassrivers: a seaplane tied up at the dock of a stilt settlement.
- On screen Jason: a pistol drawn beside a seaplane at a marina at dusk, a pilot in the cockpit.
- Reported Extended Look: Postmode says the video’s final shot is a bloodied man standing on a seaplane wing.
In the screenshots
On screen The Keys still is an aerial view. The plane, white with yellow on its nose and wings, banks over dense green islands while a long bridge full of traffic runs between them, speedboats cut white wakes below and a city skyline sits on the horizon.
On screen The Grassrivers screenshot looks across a settlement among mangroves: stilt houses, a boardwalk with people on it, a pickup in a clearing and a blue and white seaplane moored on its floats at the dock, with the city skyline far off.
On screen Jason’s screenshot is set at a marina at dusk. He holds a pistol against the fuselage of a silver seaplane with blue lettering that ends in “rina”, while a pilot in glasses sits in the cockpit and boats wait on the water behind him.
Smuggling country
Confirmed The Keys are where Jason works jobs for local drug runners, and where Brian Heder, a drug runner from the golden age of Keys smuggling, still moves product through his boat yard. On screen Brian’s own official still shows him holding a wrapped package and pointing at a man in a headset. Our read The framing looks like an aircraft doorway, and planes that land on water fit that trade. We expect seaplanes to be working aircraft in Jason’s Keys story, not just scenery.
The last shot of the Extended Look
Reported Postmode’s list of 24 details in the Extended Look says the video ends on a bloodied man standing on a seaplane wing. Our read Our frame-by-frame review stops at 26:17, before that shot, so we have not verified it.
Flying in GTA 6
Reported El Rubius says Rob Nelson took Jason and Lucia through a hotel, rode the elevator to the roof without a loading screen and stole a helicopter that happened to be parked there, according to the r/GTA6 summary of his preview. Our read That points to flyable aircraft in the build the previewers saw, though nobody has described flying a seaplane.
Our read
Our read Rockstar has put seaplanes only where there is more water than road: the Keys, the Grassrivers and a marina. Given Brian’s smuggling past and Jason’s jobs for drug runners, the seaplane looks like one of the Keys’ working vehicles.
