In the screenshots

On screen The first official screenshot parks the Cheetah on a paved drive in front of a curved pink tower with rounded balconies and palm trees. The stone sign beside it reads “Pegassi Residences” and “South Tower”. On screen The car is white, with twin red stripes over the hood, a red band along the lower flanks and slatted intakes along the sides, its headlights folded away.

On screen The second is a close-up at sunset on a cobbled drive. The pop-up headlights are raised, the fog lamps are lit and a louvered vent runs across the hood below the windshield.

What previews say about fast cars

Reported According to the r/GTA6 summary of TGG’s Rockstar North preview, driving feels weightier and less arcade-like than in GTA 5, and there are higher top speeds. Reported The same notes say police remember your appearance and your car’s appearance, that a lot of vehicles carry trackers, and that a fence or a Pay ‘n’ Spray can remove them. Our read A white sports car with red stripes is not built to blend in, so the Cheetah may make a poor getaway car.

Car culture in the Extended Look

On screen The Extended Look’s activity montage includes organized racing, and its closing montage shows a daytime car meet at about 26:06. Our read Neither shot is identified as the Cheetah, but they show the car scene it is made for.

History

Our read The Cheetah name goes back to earlier GTA games, including the 2002 Vice City. This 1995 model’s pop-up headlights and slatted side intakes look to the Italian supercars of the late 1980s.

Our read

Our read Rockstar holds the Cheetah back for later-stage action, so it is a reward for getting deep into the story rather than a day-one car. Our read The Vintage pack’s ’55 Stanier and this ’95 Cheetah are both pitched at Shore Drive, forty years apart, which puts two eras of Vice City car culture on one road.
