Crest Kayak

Overview

Confirmed The Crest Kayak is one of the Ultimate Edition’s two “Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles”, alongside a Dinka Enduro motorcycle. Rockstar keeps both at Jason Duval’s safehouse, next to his Vapid Ganado pickup. On screen The official screenshot shows Jason paddling an orange sit-on kayak with a white “crest” logo on the deck, heading into a low sun past a wooden dock and waterfront houses.

Key facts

• Confirmed Bonus: Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles, Ultimate Edition.
• On screen Look: orange hull, white “crest” logo, orange paddle blades.
• On screen Where it is kept: by the stairs of a stilt house on the water, in the safehouse screenshot.
• On screen Elsewhere: a kayak with the same logo appears in Rockstar’s Mount Kalaga still.

In the screenshots

On screen The safehouse screenshot shows a weathered teal house on stilts at the water’s edge. The kayak lies on the ground by the stairs, the green Enduro stands under the house, the yellow Ganado is parked in front and a man stands on the deck above. On screen In the paddling shot, Jason sits in the open cockpit with his legs stretched toward the bow, water splashing off the paddle.

Confirmed Jason’s bio places him in the Leonida Keys and says he lives rent-free in one of Brian Heder’s properties. Our read A house on stilts by the water fits that life, though Rockstar has not said where the safehouse is.

Mount Kalaga

Confirmed Rockstar lists hunting, fishing and off-road trails among Mount Kalaga’s draws. On screen One of its official stills shows a paddler in a red life vest and sun hat in an orange kayak with the same crest logo, heading up a river toward a steel truss railway bridge with a freight train on it. A yellow flood gauge marked in feet stands in the water nearby. Our read Crest looks like a brand in Leonida’s world rather than a one-off bonus model, so kayaks may turn up well beyond Jason’s safehouse.

In the Extended Look

On screen Kayaking is part of the Extended Look’s activity montage, in the stretch around 17:28 that also takes in docks and jet skis, with a kayak on a city waterway. Our read The montage does not show whose kayak it is or who is paddling.

Our read

Our read It is the only Ultimate Edition vehicle without an engine, an odd bonus beside a sports car and a speedboat, but it suits the Keys life Rockstar gives Jason: a house on the water and a landlord who runs a boat yard. Our read We expect it to be a quiet way into shallow water that bigger boats cannot reach.

Questions

How do you get the Crest Kayak?

Confirmed It comes with the Ultimate Edition, as one of Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles.

Confirmed At Jason’s safehouse. On screen The screenshot shows it by the stairs of a stilt house on the water, beside his Ganado and Enduro.
