Overview

Confirmed The Ultimate Edition adds two mod shops, Rideout Customs for show cars and One-Eyed Willie’s for off-road builds, plus a mod kit for Jason’s own pickup and a commission to restore classic cars for the collector Wyman.

Reported Preview reports add the running costs of a car in GTA 6: fuel, charging for electric vehicles, and trackers that have to be removed before a stolen car is safe to keep.

The mod shops

Confirmed Rideout Customs turns ordinary cars into what Rockstar calls magnificent works of art: detailed interiors, fancy rims and donk-style lifts.

Confirmed One-Eyed Willie’s, in Lake Leonida, specializes in off-road modifications and hand-painted automotive art.

Confirmed Rockstar describes both as “only open for business with the Ultimate Edition”, along with three non-car shops.

On screen The official screenshots show a gold-green donk on gold spade-pattern rims, a yellow car up on jack stands with a mechanic underneath, and a green off-road pickup with a WARNING plate, its hood up in a workshop covered in murals.

Jason’s Ganado

Confirmed The Vapid Ganado is Jason’s well-worn, low-riding pickup. The Ultimate Edition’s Ganado Retro Build mod kit adds muscle and classic styling, shown in yellow with a red racing stripe.

Restoration for Wyman

Confirmed In the Classic Car Collection commission, the eccentric collector and local fixer Wyman sends the player after abandoned classic cars and unfinished projects to bring back to their former glory. The official screenshots show five of them: a turquoise muscle car, a beige off-roader with sunset stripes, a red racer numbered 36, a green sports car and a stars-and-stripes muscle car.

Other liveries

Confirmed The ’95 Grotti Cheetah comes in a white, minimalist retro-futuristic livery with a red interior, the ’67 Dominator Buggy is a lifted 1960s muscle car Rockstar calls “a Mud Club monster”, and the Shitzu Squalo speedboat wears a pink-to-blue gradient.

In the Extended Look

On screen A daytime meet of modified cars appears in the closing montage (26:06 to 26:09).

What previews reported

Reported TGG says cars need fuel and electric vehicles need charging, that driving feels weightier and less arcade-like than GTA V with higher top speeds, and that the phone has a parody mechanic app among its new apps.

Reported TGG also says many vehicles carry trackers, every police car among them, and that trackers can be removed through a fence or at a pay and spray, though not every pay and spray is unlocked at the start.

Reported Engadget describes a Slim Jim lock minigame on the right stick and key cloners for modern cars.

Our read

Our read Customization in GTA 6 is shaping up as two jobs: making a car look like yours, at shops like Rideout, and making a stolen car safe to keep, at a fence or a pay and spray. Only the first has been shown. The second comes from preview reports.
