Overview

On screen Megamundo is the company whose night goes wrong at the end of the Extended Look. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos work security at the opening of its first corporate headquarters on American soil, guarding Andrés de León, and armed men storm the party during the speech.

The opening night

On screen Jason and Lucia drive Andrés to the entrance, where staff greet him and confirm his room on the 24th floor (20:44 to 20:58). The lobby has a lit balloon arch and a big screen behind the reception desk. Valentina introduces the pair to Petra Navarro there as Andrés’ new security detail (21:16 to 21:20).

On screen The upper floor Jason crosses to reach Andrés is still unfinished, with cables and tape on the bare floor (21:57 to 22:08), and Andrés calls his private session christening the new building. Downstairs a speech thanks the guests for celebrating the headquarters’ opening. Then the party is over: armed men order everyone to the ground (23:15 to 23:17), and Jason and Lucia fight their way through different floors of the tower (23:22 to 24:27).

Our read Megamundo reads as the game’s take on the Spanish-language broadcasters based in Miami, with a name that echoes Telemundo. A media company throwing a lavish opening in Vice City gives the story a public stage for a heist, and it puts corporate money next to the crews Jason and Lucia already know.
