Andrés de León

Overview

On screen Andrés de León is the job in the last act of the Extended Look. Valentina hires Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos to protect him and keep him in line, and they take him from his private jet to the opening of Megamundo’s first corporate headquarters on American soil. He skips the party for a private session upstairs, and when armed men storm the building one of them gets to him.

In the Extended Look

On screen After the airport greeting (19:36 to 19:53) he asks Jason whether he is the driver, and the pair drive him and a friend to the Megamundo Building. At the door (20:44) he checks that the flight attendants on his jet were all put under NDA, and staff confirm his room is ready.

On screen In the lobby he tells a woman he calls honey that a couple of Elonzo’s producer friends are in town and that they will be upstairs doing “think-tank stuff” (21:02 to 21:09). When Jason finds them in the conference room (22:13) Andrés calls it christening the new building and sends him for tequila, sparkling water and beers.

On screen Jason passes on that Petra Navarro wants him downstairs for a big speech (22:35). Andrés refuses: they are on a roll, his frontal cortex is in overdrive, and it feels like the band is back together.

On screen Minutes later the party is stormed (23:15). Jason and Lucia fight on different floors, Jason reports that one of the crew has Andrés (24:19), and a man is then asked again and again where the money is (24:39). The scene ends on a shout of “Jay dog!” (24:48).

Reported GTA Wiki identifies Andrés as the man being asked about the money and says Jason fights his way to him and saves him.

Who he is

Our read The Extended Look never says what Andrés does. A creative roadmap, producer friends, the band back together and a brief built on keeping his ego up all point to a music star, and Valentina treats him as talent to be managed. Rockstar has not said who he is.

Reported GTA Wiki describes him as someone involved in the entertainment business.
