Overview

Confirmed Trailer 2 was released on May 6, 2025 and runs 2:47. Rockstar said it was captured entirely in-game on a PlayStation 5. It arrived four days after the first delay, announced on May 2, 2025, which moved the game from 2025 to May 26, 2026.

Confirmed It came with the official site’s People and Places pages, which introduced six supporting characters, Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder, and the six regions of Leonida.

Confirmed The trailer is set to “Hot Together” by The Pointer Sisters.

The cast it introduced

  • Confirmed Raul Bautista: a veteran bank robber, confident and reckless, always recruiting for bigger jobs.
  • Confirmed Brian Heder: an old-school Keys drug runner with a boat yard and his third wife, Lori. He gives Jason a place to live.
  • Confirmed Cal Hampton: Jason’s friend, who listens in on Coast Guard radio.
  • Confirmed Boobie Ike: a Vice City legend with property, a strip club and a recording studio.
  • Confirmed Dre’Quan Priest: Boobie’s partner in Only Raw Records.
  • Confirmed Real Dimez: the rap duo Bae-Luxe and Roxy, signed to Only Raw Records.

Places

Confirmed The Places pages introduced Vice City, the Leonida Keys, the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park.

Reported The fan-run GTA VI Mapping Community has placed dozens of Trailer 2 shots on its map of Leonida, and our state map shows the ones matched to named places, with frames from the trailer.

Since then

On screen The Extended Look of August 2026 went back to the same kinds of places as gameplay: store robberies, airboats in the wetlands, jet skis and a club door with an OVER 21 ONLY poster.

Reported Under a September 18 r/GTA6 thread about Target’s exclusive vinyl poster of Jason, a reply noted that he wears the same outfit as in Trailer 2.

Our read

Our read Trailer 2 was the first look at the world around Jason and Lucia: the people they will work for and the places they will work in. Its shop keypad, ATM and cooler are the details a robbery game needs, and the Extended Look confirmed that is where the game was heading.
