Overview
Confirmed Raul Bautista is a seasoned bank robber: confident, charming and cunning, and always on the hunt for people willing to take the risks that bring the biggest rewards. Rockstar warns that his recklessness raises the stakes with every score, and that sooner or later his crew will have to double down or take their chips off the table.
On screen In the Extended Look, Jason and Lucia work a job with him, and by the end of it they are asking each other whether they are now part of his crew.

In the Extended Look
On screen The Raul job takes up the middle of the Extended Look. On our frames:
- On screen 12:32 to 13:10: Lucia drives Raul’s car, talking through the delivery, the payment, what to keep to themselves and the chance of more work.
- On screen 13:10 to 13:27: on the way to the next meeting, Lucia says the new contact could be a cop.
- On screen 13:48 to 14:02: Raul recruits Jason to hold off the pursuit and hands him a gun. With Lucia at the wheel, Jason moves to the back and fires at police cars and helicopters.
- On screen 14:12 to 14:35: pursuing cars collide and a police car rolls over.
- On screen 14:40 to 15:18: the group hides from the police, then gets spotted. At about 14:55 Raul calls Lucia “mami” and asks whether she is a professional.
- On screen 15:44 to 16:18: police radio reports no visual on the suspect vehicle, and the crew abandons the sedan, sets it alight and switches to a van.
- On screen 16:40 to 17:07: Raul tells them to keep their phones on, and Jason and Lucia discuss whether they have just joined his crew.
Our read Raul asking Lucia whether she is a professional echoes his own official card about professionals adapting. The job is also where the Extended Look shows its getaway craft: changing seats mid-chase, breaking the police’s line of sight and burning the car.
In official screenshots
- On screen Driving in leather gloves with a pistol held low and stacks of cash on the passenger seat. Our read The blue lettering on the building behind him reads “…OMBA…”, which could be a LomBank branch, but too little of it shows to be sure.
- On screen On the phone in glasses, while someone works at two computer monitors in the dark behind him.
- On screen At the helm of a boat at sunset, arms crossed, with the skyline and a raised drawbridge behind him.
- On screen In a pale suit jacket on a neon-lit sidewalk at night.
Our read
Our read Raul is the step up from Brian’s world. Brian smuggles and lets others do the dirty work, while Raul robs banks and wants people who will take the big risks. The bio’s warning about his recklessness reads like a setup: if Jason and Lucia sign on, they join a man whose crews eventually have to decide whether to keep going.
Questions
Is Raul Bautista playable? Confirmed Rockstar names Jason and Lucia as the leads. Raul is a supporting character.
Do Jason and Lucia join Raul’s crew? On screen At the end of the job (16:40 to 17:07) Raul tells them to keep their phones on and they discuss whether they are in his crew. The footage does not answer it.
Is Raul the contact Brian introduces? On screen Not established. In the car at 08:22 to 08:44, Jason and Lucia say they need Brian to introduce them to his old cellmate, and Raul’s job begins at 12:32. Our read The Extended Look never names that contact, so the link stays open.
Who is the “mami” Raul talks to? On screen Lucia: Raul uses the word to address her at about 14:55. A later greeting, at about 16:47, does not identify anyone on screen, so the footage shows no separate “mami” character.
