The six singles

Confirmed Released with the announcement:

Reported An r/GTA6 commenter pointed out that Keith Richards’ single is a cover of a 1961 Jimmy Reed song.

Vinyl and CD

Confirmed Three exclusives are sold only at gtavi-thealbum.com: a liquid-filled vinyl, a splatter vinyl and a CD jewel case. Retailers including Blood Records, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Target and Urban Outfitters carry their own vinyl colorways.

Reported Target’s vinyl comes with an exclusive poster of new Jason artwork, according to an r/GTA6 thread (September 18, 2,012 points), and a reply noted he wears the same outfit as in Trailer 2.

Spotify and the new artwork

Reported The album’s launch ran through Spotify. On September 16 an r/GTA6 thread relaying Kurro on X showed Spotify teasing GTA 6 collaborations (9,717 points), and another collected the Spotify banners, one of which, a commenter noted, carries a large iguana. On September 17 players found an official GTA VI artist page on Spotify carrying the singles.

Reported The album artwork also drew close reading. An r/GTA6 thread on September 17 (2,839 points) noticed that Lucia’s ankle monitor sits on her left leg in the new album artwork but on her right, as usual, in a second new piece.

What it means for the radio

Confirmed Rockstar says more details are coming on the game’s dynamic score and what it calls “the next evolution of in-game radio”.

Reported The Extended Look used licensed music instead: Game Rant counts 14 songs in it, from Pop Bottles at 0:06 to Inner Light at 25:44, with People Are People playing on a car radio at 8:21.

Our read None of the six singles is among the Extended Look’s 14 songs. Original songs from this many headline artists suggest some will be heard first on the in-game stations.

Our read

Our read A 34-track album of new songs, released on launch day by a major label, is a bigger bet on original music than Rockstar has shown before for GTA 6. The radio details Rockstar has promised will decide whether these songs live on the stations or only on the album.
