Item wheel

Overview

On screen GTA 6’s selection wheel is split into two tabs, WEAPONS and ITEMS, switched with R1. The one clear look so far comes in the Extended Look’s store robbery (17:51.5 to 18:00), where the Items tab holds disguise pieces.

What the Extended Look shows

On screen The wheel opens over the parked red convertible outside the strip mall. On the Items tab a red bandana sits in the top slot, labeled OFF, and a pair of pink sunglasses sits bottom left. Bottom right, a red-and-white cap is highlighted with its name and type under it: ROD’S RACING CAP, HEADWEAR. Two more slots are empty.

On screen At 17:51.6 the same screen shows two money figures, $15,150 beside a purple symbol and $700 beside a green, wallet-like icon. Eight seconds later, at 18:00, Lucia stands at the Zekes Gadgets door with the bandana pulled up over her face.

Disguises and the police

Reported Postmode’s list of Extended Look details names two disguise slots, Face Wrap and Rod’s Racing Cap. The cap’s label is readable on our frames, the Face Wrap label is not.

Reported TGG’s preview account says police remember your appearance, your clothes and your car, and that changing vehicles and appearance is the best way to lose them. Red Bull’s coverage likewise says police judge suspects by clothes, looks and vehicle.

On screen The Extended Look also plays disguise for story: Jason and Lucia, masked and dressed unlike their usual selves, tell an interrogator that they are tourists and are clearly not believed.

The two money figures

Reported TGG describes three kinds of money: a bank account, cash on hand that can be lost on death or arrest, and the value of a duffel bag of loot, which has to be sold through a fence. Cash is banked at an ATM, not by phone.

What else previews reported

Reported Engadget describes a quick swap between two guns. TGG says food, consumables and protein bars can boost health, stamina and focus past their limits.

Our read The quick swap suggests a shortcut on the Weapons side. Where consumables are selected is not shown, and the Items tab is the obvious candidate.

How players reacted

Reported The wheel’s plain square boxes drew fan redesigns on r/GTA6 within a day. A circular version (August 28, 5,536 points) drew replies that a round wheel fits how a thumbstick moves. A rounded-corner redesign of the whole interface the same day (6,733 points) drew a UI designer’s reply that the icons are too small for their boxes, while another reply preferred the game’s own Weapons and Items tabs along the top.
