Since pre-orders opened
- Confirmed August 27: Rockstar released An Extended Look, 26 minutes 48 seconds of gameplay captured on PS5 (our report).
- Reported Late August: after leaked clips spread online, Rockstar called the leaks “heartbreaking for our team”, said the game was “nearly there” and kept the November 19 date, as Kotaku, PC Gamer and VGC reported.
- Confirmed September 17: Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, 34 original tracks out on launch day, with vinyl and CD editions on pre-order.
Our read
Our read The Standard Edition is the whole game: nothing on the Ultimate list is needed to finish the story. The Ultimate is for players who care about cars and looks, since all five of its exclusive shops deal in car mods, hair and makeup, tattoos or clothes.
Our read Whichever edition you pick, buy before November 20 to keep the Vintage Vice City Pack. A boxed copy is only a code, so buy it on November 12 and pre-load, or expect a full download on launch day.
